Roommate Reunion

It was so much fun to be back together with my roommates from college this past weekend! We haven't all been together in about 2 years and you forget how much fun you can have together. We had a great day grilling out, swimming and fellowshipping. Karli and Ryan have been missionaries in Italy for the past several years, so it was rare to get a chance to see them during that time. They recently felt called back to the states, so we are glad to have them back and we are looking forward to spending more time with them. They have two children, Isabella (23 months) and Hudson (5 months). Since, Hannah Grace and Isabella are so close in age, they played so well together and loved each others company. Lauren and Trey are great with all the kids and provided constant entertainment for them all day! What a fabulous weekend with great friends!

19 Months

In this month we are seeing more than ever that Hannah Grace is all girl!!! She loves strolling her dolls, wearing her purse, putting on jewelry, wearing Mommies shoes, and playing in Mommies makeup. She is also talking so much more and we really think this is because of her surgery. She loves books and would love to read all day long. She loves, loves the water and still has no fear! I enjoy watching her play with her baby dolls and she is so sweet and gentle with them. She will kiss them, pat them, ride them in the stroller and wrap them in her blanket. She also has recently been putting 2 babies in the stroller and will not have it any other way. I like to think she does this because of her twin cousins :) It is so much fun having a little girl!

Surgery

Hannah Grace had surgery Tuesday to get tubes put in and her adenoids out.The whole process went really smoothly and hopefully this will help her with all those ear infections! She loved running around the hospital before the surgery. They had all kinds of toys and she loved riding around in the cars. The only hard part was when they took her back and she reached out crying for us, with a look saying "Why are you doing this to me?". That is when I lost it and started crying. It is such a helpless feeling, but a friend sent me a text, while waiting on her to get back, that brought me right back to where I needed to be. It was the verse from Isaiah 26:3 that says, "You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you". I love it when the Lord gives us what we need, at just the right time.
