4th Of July

What a wonderful 4th of July we had at Lake Guntersville! All of my family was there, along with Kendall's family too! It was great to meet her niece (Harper) and nephew (Miles). They are both so precious and Miles was so cute running all over the place. Hannah Grace adored him and would just stare at him constantly! We took Hannah Grace on the boat for the first time and she loved the boat, but hated her life jacket! So, the ride lasted only a couple of minutes. Maybe next year she won't be so bothered by the life jacket! On the 4th, we had a crawfish boil and it was so much fun! My brother Will, is a great cook and did a fabulous job on all the food. It was such a great weekend and I enjoyed all the time spent with family and friends. I also have an update on Will and Kendall. Hannah Grace will be a cousin to TWINS! We are all so excited and everything looks perfect with both of the babies. I just can't wait for them to be here!!!

7 Months

7 Months!!! I really can't believe it :) Hannah Grace has done a lot of firsts this past month!! One of the most exciting things, is she finally rolled over!!! I know, that some of you are thinking what....... just rolling over at 7 months?!? But, can you imagine having to roll over 22 pounds?!? It would be quite a task, but she finally did it about 2 weeks ago. Now, we just need to teach her to roll the other direction. She rolls from her back to her stomach and then gets stuck. This is no fun when she does this early in the morning, and I have to go and roll her back over!!

She also has finally started taking baby food well :) She pretty much likes everything, but her favorite, is by far Carrots! She has also tried avocadoes, peas, pears and apples. We also tried bananas, but will not eat those again!! They did not settle too well on her system!

Hannah Grace has also developed a love for animals, especially dogs! She squeals with delight when she sees a dog and wants to jump out of our arms and start playing with it. It is just too cute.

And lastly, she has learned how to scream, or should I call it screaching!!! She loves to make this sound when we are out at restaurants, so we definitely draw some attention. Even though it is so loud, it is still super cute. I guess it is just her form of communication.

Oh, and great news! It looks like Hannah Grace is going to have not just 1 cousin, but possibly 2-3!!! That's right, Kendall & Will are having TWINS and possibly TRIPLETS!!! I am super excited to be an Aunt to all of them and Hannah Grace is so excited to have so many cousins to play with :)

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to Clint!! Can I just say, that I am so thankful for my wonderful Husband. He is a great Husband and a great DAD!! He just loves Hannah Grace so much and I just love to sit and watch the two of them together. He is the proudest Dad and anyone who knows him, can tell you that. He carries around many pictures of Hannah Grace and won't hesitate to show you his collection of his "Buger Bear". I just appreciate him so much and all he does for our family. His love and devotion to our family is more than I could have ever imagined! We love him so much!!! Here are a few pictures from Father's Day with Clint's family.

Pregnant!!

Not me, but my Sister-in-law KENDALL!!! Many of you know that she and my brother Will have been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 1/2 years. After IUI's, Invitro and many many medications she is finally pregnant! What a blessing considering days before the Dr. had told them that there would only be a 9 % chance of pregnancy with each IUI performed. I guess the Lord showed them!! Praise the Lord for this miracle growing inside of her. The road they have had to go down has not been an easy one, but it has been amazing to see the Lord working in both Will and Kendall through this process. I can't even begin to express the way that Kendall has felt through this process, so I will let her tell you. This is a section from a letter that she wrote to all her friends and family after finding out that she and Will were finally expecting :)

As I am writing this, the tears are flowing freely. Ya’ll this baby is nothing short of a miracle from the Lord. 9%??? The God I serve doesn’t work in percentages! As I look back over the past 2/1/2 years of infertility I am amazed at the lessons I have learned from the Lord. I can honestly say I would not have traded that time for anything. I finally within the past few months lifted my hands and said “God do what you please with me”. If it’s no baby then you will tell me to adopt. If it’s 10 babies then I will take them J I realized very clearly that this life is not about me or any of my circumstances. It is about me living my life as an offering for a Savior who laid down his life for me. It’s not only about being a mom or that making me happy. It’s about praising my Father for all that He has done and telling the world about it! I truly give all the honor and praise to God Almighty!

I also will say that I’m extremely early in my pregnancy and I’m not naïve to know that things could happen. However, I am choosing to be joyful during this time and lay aside any anxious thoughts. I decided that I would like for the same people that prayed me through infertility to pray me through any other circumstance. So, I ask for you to join with me in my prayer for this precious miracle growing inside of me! I love all of you so much and can never repay for the love and support you have shown me.

Kendall has been such an encouragement to me through this process and I know to so many others. I hope that her words can encourage many others who are going through this same painful process.

The way that Will and Kendall told our family was so cute!! They have a French bulldog named Scout and used him to tell us. They tied a pregnancy test around his neck and brought him in to see us. Right when he walked in, I saw the POSITIVE pregnancy test and completely lost it!!! Crying and hugging them both is a moment that I will remember and cherish forever!! Hannah Grace is also super excited that she will be a cousin soon :) Please join me in praying for this precious miracle growing inside of Kendall.

6 Months

I can't believe that Hannah Grace is already 6 months!!! We love this age and how interactive she is becoming. Hannah Grace loves people and will go to anyone and will smile and laugh at everybody!! I love that about her and hope that she stays that way. She still loves to take baths and loves taking baths with both Clint and me. We had her 6 month checkup this week and everything looked wonderful. She is still a big girl weighing in at 21 lbs. 6 oz and 28 in. long, which still puts her off the charts for both! She still hasn't rolled over and is not at all interested in crawling. .We have had a couple of firsts this month, both good and bad! We had our first baby food (oatmeal) and had an allergic reaction!! Nothing to bad, just a rash and some irritablity for a few days. We are now on rice cereal and that is doing much better on her sensitive little system and she loves it. We are about to start some fruits and veggies and I look forward to seeing how she reacts to them. She also had an allergic reaction to Penicilin and broke out from head to toe in a rash (picture above is her taking it before the outbreak!)! Pretty scary, but she was fine with a little benadryl. So, no more of that for this little girl!! The first picture is her at about 6 weeks and then now! I was amazed at how much she had changed. They grow up way to fast!

Our Little Fish!

We recently took Hannah Grace on her first trip to the beach and it was a blast! She loves the sand and the water, which makes it so much fun. She wanted to be in the water the whole time and would fuss when we would take her out! The water was so cold, but that didn't seem to bother her one bit (although Clint and I were freezing!). It looks like we have ourselves a little fish :) The trip was so wonderful and we enjoyed time with family, great food and much needed relaxation!
