Christmas Part 1

We celebrate with Clint's family a few days before Christmas every year. We started having everyone over at our house starting last year and it has been a fun tradition to start. It has given me some practice in cooking for larger crowds and is fun hosting everyone :) Hannah Grace and Knox love their Grandad and JJ and as you can see from the presents they gave them, they love them a lot too!!

All the boys :)

Knox loves this tractor and has to play with it everyday!

Grandad showing Knox how it works :)

Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Anna & Haley. Hannah Grace loved getting the Polar Express and Charlie Brown's Christmas! Thanks for the great movies :)
Hannah Grace's vanity.  She now puts on her makeup every day!

Of course Knox wanted to try it out, then Daddy and Grandad quickly pulled him away!

One of Clint's Present from his Dad and Jan. His fav restaurant in Montgomery is Sam's barbecue. They brought him about 4 plates of barbecue and he ate 3 that night. Those of you who know Clint, this should not surprise you.

Christmas Traditions

We have started several family traditions with our children the past few years. One of those being Zoolight Safari. It is just a fun night for the kids to run around and look at all the cool lights :) Last year, I started doing a gingerbread house with Hannah Grace. Well, this year she asked to make one, so that is now a tradition too. We always love going to the Briarwood Nativity. It was especially neat for Hannah Grace to go this year, since she is truly grasping the story of Jesus. I am sad I missed, but someone has to go home with the other sick child :( We started a Jessi tree this year, which I highly recommend. I am sick, that I didn't get a pic of it. But, it is a great way to tell your children the story of Christ, from Old to New testament. On Christmas Eve, we always enjoy going to our Christmas Eve Service. Well, this year, we didn't get to enjoy that, since both our kids were sick. Tis the Season for sickness!!! We really were reminded how thankful we are, just to be able to be home with both of our healthy children (even if they had a virus). There are so many families with really sick children and those who desire to have that family of there own. Thank you Lord for that reminder.

Santa

We always take the kids each year to see Santa and I love to see how they react. Hannah Grace was so excited and just jumped in Santa's lap, like she did every year. Knox talked about Santa all morning (not really knowing who it was) and even after seeing him from a distance seemed to like the idea. Well, we get close to him and his legs lock around me and I had to pull him off of me, just to get a picture with Santa. After that, we rode the train and the carousel with Nana & Uncle Jimmy.
